My work

Since September 2013 I am a part of a Marie Curie Initial Training Network AccliPhot funded by the European Commission. The main research aim of AccliPhot is to investigate and understand short-term acclimation mechanisms to changes in light conditions in photosynthetic organisms. Working in this group helps me to gain knowledge and develop skills needed to become an experienced researcher in the field of systems biology.

I got fascinated by the world of plants and microorganisms: their life, complexity and usability! Trying not to sound here naive or childish: I believe that microorganisms such as diatoms or micro algae can bring us solutions to most alarming problems of the next decades: energy demand and shortage in food supply.
